Ready to talk some 2019 NFL Draft?
What, too soon?
It’s not for CBSSports.com’s Chris Trapasso, who went through and listed what he thought was the most important question each NFC team must answer this season before going into next April’s Womens J.J. Nelson Jersey draft.
And for the Atlanta Falcons, Trapasso zeroed in on the defensive line. The question he thinks the Rod Woodson Jersey Falcons must answer: Will the defensive tackles not named Grady Jarrett be impactful rotational players?
Yes, I would put Gerald Riggs over Warrick Dunn. Riggs ran for 1,719 yards in 1985 on http://www.footballsteelersofficialstores.com/Nike-Rod-Woodson-Jersey.html a what was a pretty one-dimensional team. Dunn was good, also, but I would never say he was the man on any of those offenses. Vick, Roddy, and even Duckett split carries with Dunn. http://www.officialcardinalsfootballauthentic.com/Jj-Nelson-Jersey.html Maybe we are splitting hairs here. They were both pretty good. I just prefer Riggs.
Matt: Good stuff, John. And, yes, I think we’re splitting hairs for sure at this point. But I’ll stick with Warrick Dunn and his versatility.
Despite the lack of turnovers created, Atlanta’s defense finished as a top-10 unit in both scoring and total defense, making huge strides from 2016 when they finished as the 25th ranked team in total defense. With majority of their young core returning and another year of experience for defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel, how will this group continue to evolve?
At the NFL owners’ meetings in March, Quinn named six players he wants to see elevate their games in 2018. Those players are Austin Hooper, Ryan Schraeder, Vic Beasley Jr., Keanu Neal, Brian Poole and Duke Riley. How are they performing on the field?
Greg Knapp joined the Falcons staff this offseason and brings a wealth of experience with him. Knapp has served as the offensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders (2012), San Francisco (2001-03) and the Falcons (2004-2006).
